Like most women, I tend to downplay personal medical issues. It´s just much more important to tend to our families than to address what could be our own serious health conditions.

Denise Goldstein, APN-C

Denise Goldstein, APN-C, is a certified acute care nurse practitioner at The Center for Women’s Heart Health.

Born in Brooklyn, she attended Tufts University, graduating with a BS in 1983. After being employed in medical offices for two years, she joined Columbia University - School of Nursing's accelerated program, receiving a second Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 1986.

With a focus in critical care, she was employed at NYU Medical Center for 8 years, in both the intensive care units, and the operating room. In addition, she participated doing agency work at various other Manhattan institutions, in the critical care arena. After relocating to Rockland County, New York, she joined the critical care staff at Westchester County Medical Center in 1992, where she was employed for 10 years. In 1999, while still working at WCMC, she joined Columbia University - School of Nursing’s Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. She graduated from the program in 2003 with a Masters of Science in Nursing as an acute care nurse practitioner.

She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center, and is a member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners, and the Association of Critical Care Nurses.
