Benita M. Burke, M.D., FACC
Cardiologist and Medical Director, Heart Care for Women


Benita M. Burke, M.D., FACC, serves as the Medical Director of Valley Medical Group’s Heart Care for Women, as well as one of its cardiologists. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Burke's special clinical interests include non-invasive imaging, including transesophageal echocardiograms and nuclear stress testing, as well as preventive risk care and the treatment of endothelial dysfunction.

Dr. Burke received her medical degree and graduated with highest honors from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She then completed her residency at Columbia University Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the University of California in San Diego.

In addition to her numerous community education presentations, Dr. Burke also has presented at the American Society of Echocardiography. Her publications and research have focused on the field of CT angiography and cardiac imaging. Dr. Burke also is a board-certified integrative medicine practitioner by the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine and plans to incorporate these modalities into cardiovascular care at Heart Care for Women.
